An idea never comes completely formed. Ideas linger in our heads, waiting to be understood, waiting to be put into action. Sometimes we pursue our ideas, sometimes we don't.
So why don't we? Everyone has their own reasons, but far too often it is simply because we have not taken the time to apply the necessary structure to evaluate the idea and make a decision.
That is where I come in. I create the structure to help you develop your unstructured ideas. Ideas are powerful, but true value is created through execution.
What does Unstructured Ventures do?
I focus on three main activities:
Financial Modeling
I create every financial model tailored to your business and your needs in a structure that allows you to understand your business. I also teach you how to use your model to make business decisions. Breaking down your business into a financial model is one of the best ways to understand and evaluate your business decisions.
Business Strategy
I help you take your idea and develop a business strategy and a business plan specific for your needs. Not all businesses need the same level of formal business planning. I help you figure out what you need depending on your goals and your stage in your life cycle by creating the structure needed to take your idea into an executable plan.
Financial Management
Once you have started executing your idea, I can help you prepare for and raise investment capital, and I can take an active role in creating and running the financial management infrastructure so that you can focus on building your business and solving your customers' needs.

ABOUT TAYLOR DAVIDSON
Taylor Davidson, Principal of Unstructured Ventures, has played leading roles in creating financial strategies and business plans for companies since 1998 as an independent consultant and in a variety of roles in startups, venture capital, strategy consulting, product and marketing strategy and private equity.
Taylor has worked with companies and entrepreneurs at a variety of stages. He has helped entrepreneurs take ideas into actionable strategies by creating the tools, business plans and financial models critical to understanding their businesses and developing a strategy for raising the capital needed to fund their businesses. For later-stage companies, he has helped companies refine their plans and prepare for the next level of growth and investment. He has also served as a Chief Financial Officer through the early growth phases.
He also works with partners that bring a variety of experiences in finance, marketing, strategy and design across a variety of industries, many of which have valuable expertise in creating and running startups.
He has an MBA in Finance and Entrepreneurship from the Tepper School of Business at Carnegie Mellon University and a BA in Economics from the University of Virginia.
