I would love to hear more about the equity distribution model you've settled on; I'm trying to figure out an equity distribution model on a different venture and would love to adapt whatever models / insights I can.

Taylor - a great post and a great contribution. I'm overdue to post the 'equity distribution' model which should help build on your questions at the end. As for legal structures, I'm leaning on some innovative programs at Tides Canada Foundation (http://tidescanada.org - http://sagecentre.org) to help on that end.
