Great minds think alike?

I'm amazed by how many “rational models” are eventually disproved; I abhor unnecessary scripts and over-optimization; I'm saddened to think about what I believed 5-10 years ago that has been proved to be wrong; I wonder what I believe today that will eventually be disproved.

Basically it's about how Ayn Rand is full of it, and her devotees, especially the so-called Wall Street Masters of the Universe are even fuller. Anyone who would make fictional characters like Howard Roark and John Galt their business role models is literally out of his or her mind (and living inside Rand's).

The 'rational models' are scripts (or novels about architects who refuse to be ground down by City Hall) written by fallible people for how they expect other perfectly fallible people to behave. And if we expect the outcomes to be anything other than disappointing, we are living in a chimera, not dealing with the world as it is. And I guess we're seeing what happens when lots of Rand fans do that….
